Whānau Hui for Parents of Māori Students - Wednesday 22nd March

WHANAU HUI FOR  PARENTS  OF  MAORI  STUDENTS – Wednesday 22 nd  March: We would like to invite you to a Wh ā nau Hui for  parents  of M ā ori students at Marshland School. This will be held in the Staff Room on  Wednesday 22nd March, 2017 . We will start with a karakia/blessing at  5:30pm  and our hui will finish at  6:30pm . We are thrilled about our inclusion into Huakina Mai (A two-year relational based intervention that provides a strengths-based approach to supporting M ā ori students in schools). We know that M ā ori students learn best when they have strong learning relationships with their teachers, and when teachers and wh ā nau work together to support their tamariki. Darlene Te Karu, Senior Facilitator at Kaha Education would like to speak with you to give an overview of the Huakina Mai programme and what it entails.  This is a great opportunity for you to come along, meet other wh ā nau and teachers and hear all about Huakina Mai.  If you would like to come alo
